After the success of Thank You For Coming, Bhumi Pednekar is gearing up for an intense, deglamourized role in Bhakshak. The makers of the movie recently announced the release date with a teaser.
Directed by Pulkit, Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma produced the movie under Red Chillies Entertainment. It stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar as leads. February 9, 2024, has been confirmed as the release date of the Netflix movie.

Bhakshak to release on February 9, 2024
Taking it to social media, Bhumi Pednekar shared the teaser in collaboration with Netflix. They captioned the post with, “The story of one journalist who would stop at nothing to uncover the truth. #Bhakshak a film inspired by true events coming on 9th February, only on Netflix.”
The actor also a character poster. She captioned the post with, “Meet Vaishali Singh, a force to be reckoned with, as she battles against the powerful! #Bhakshak, inspired by true events, releasing on 9th February, only on Netflix.”
Bhakshak explores the journey of a female investigative journalist’s need to seek justice. Vaishali Singh, portrayed by Bhumi Pednekar, aims to shed light on a heinous crime against children and bring attention to the reality of crimes against women. In the teaser’s conclusion, Bhumi Pednekar tells a girl, “Bachchon ke adhikar ke liye lad rahe hain hum, samajh rahi ho? (We are fighting for the rights of children, do you understand?).”
In a statement, director Pulkit shared his thoughts on the movie. He said, “Our aim was to shed light on the harsh realities of society and spark conversations that lead to meaningful change. I’m looking forward to more people joining this important dialogue.”
Gaurav Verma from Red Chillies Entertainment also shared his views in a statement. He said, “We believe in storytelling that not only entertains, but also enlightens. This film is a testament to our commitment to narratives that provoke thought and inspire societal reflections.”
