With SS Rajamouli’s extraordinarily successful film franchise Baahubali, Prabhas made his name for doing big-budget movies. However, his films after Baahubali 2 were highly criticized. As he joined hands with Prashanth Neel for Salaar, things changed. He is being widely lauded for his lead role. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Shruti Haasan, and others played key roles in the film.
Salaar to arrive on Netflix?
The OTT giant recently made the official announcement about the arrival of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Netflix India South took to its social media handle to announce that the film will be available soon.
They wrote, “The people of Khansaar can begin their celebrations. Their Salaar has returned to his kingdom. Salaar is coming soon on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada as a post theatrical release!”
The OTT giant did not confirm the movie’s digital release date. However, as per a report by 123telugu.com, the movie is expected to be available on Netflix from February 4, 2024. The film has allegedly minted over a whopping $73.6 million worldwide.
Now, all eyes are on the second instalment in the film franchise because of the first part’s massive success. The second part has been titled, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam. Prabhas will reprise his role as the lead in the upcoming film, helmed by Prashanth Neel. But, details about the upcoming sequel’s release date have not been finalized yet.
