After its theatrical release, Teja Sajja’s latest film, HanuMan, has generated a significant buzz among the audience. The film promises an adventurous journey led by Hanumanthu and entertains the audience with its cast’s performances to visually stunning VFX.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, the film features Teja Sajja and Amritha Aiyer in lead roles, along with Varalaxmi, Vinay Rai, and Vennela Kishore in supporting roles. Additionally, the film is produced under the banner of Primeshow Entertainment.
The storyline involves a divine journey of Hanumanthu with an emotional touch. Hanumanthu acquires the supernatural powers of the god Hanuman after an incident involving him trying to save Meenakshi. He utilized these powers to protect the people of Anjanadri from the evildoer Michael.
Besides the divine journey, the film also has numerous references to leading South Indian actors, including Prabhas and Rajinikanth. The movie’s suspense is maintained until the last second when Hanumanthu attempts to save the village without relying on his supernatural powers. Interestingly, the conclusion of HanuMan sends shivers down the spine of the audience after the grand entry of the god Hanuman.
How does Hanumanthu find the magical gem?
HanuMan opens with Michael, who aspires to become a superhero after getting influenced by Hollywood fictional characters. After several failed attempts, he makes the bold decision to set his parents on fire. The rationale behind the same is that he believes a person becomes a hero when he has no parents. Besides this, he is backed by his closest friend Siri.
On the other hand, the film also follows the journey of Hanumanthu, who is famous for stealing in his village. He is pampered by her sister, Varalaxmi, who does manual labor to earn a livelihood. The story further unfolds when Meenakshi, the childhood love of Hanumanthu, comes back to her village Anjanadri. Being highly educated, she fights for the rights of people hindered by the poligar, Gajapati, who forcefully takes taxes from the people. Meenakshi also takes steps to establish democratic rule in the village.
The story takes a significant twist when Hanumanthu attempts to save her from the tribal people. During this pursuit, he is thrown into the deep water. This results in him acquiring the blood drop of the god Hanuman, stored in a gem inside the water.
Notably, this gem only works when sunlight passes through it and infiltrates a person’s body. Eventually, Hanumantu discovers these powers and discloses them to his friend. To demonstrate his powers, he attempts to stop a running train, but this results in him colliding with the train with no harm.
This incident is captured and uploaded by a person on social media, catching Michael’s attention and provoking him to make a journey to Anjanadri in search of these powers.
HanuMan ending: Does Hanumantu able to save Anjanadri from Michael?
Michael, the lead villain, takes every essential step for the possession of that supernatural gem. He kidnaps Hanumanthu and inquires about his abilities, but the hero manages to escape and eventually realizes Michael’s true intentions. To learn more about his plans, Hanumanthu enters Michael’s base, where he finds the most powerful suit created by Siri.
The story takes an emotional turn when Hanumanthu’s beloved sister, Varalaxmi, dies from the gunshot of Michael. He attempts to save his sister’s life using the power of the magical Gem, but fails. After this incident, he tosses the gem, believing that it cost his sister’s life.
When Hanumanthu is emotionally hurt, the story introduces the character of Vibhishana (Ravana’s Brother), who follows the path headed by the god Hanuman. Vibhishana shows the path of dharma to Hanumanthu, depicting the journey of the god Hanuman.
Simultaneously, Michael releases harmful gas throughout the village, due to which the people of Anjadari slowly die. Following the guidance of her late sister, Hanumanthu takes the major responsibility of saving the village without relying on supernatural powers.
During the final battle against Michael, Hanumanthu regains possession of the gem. The intense action fight scenes, especially the helicopter scene, are amazingly captured.
In conclusion, the story takes a major twist when the gem is destroyed, and the blood of the god Hanuman enters Hanumanthu’s eye. Subsequently, during the climax, the god Hanuman makes a grand entry into the story and meets Hanumanthu. This scene sends shivers down the spine of the audience and receives a massive cheer.
The ending of the film also sets the stage for a sequel of this film, titled Jai Hanuman, scheduled to release in 2025. The audience will have to wait for the sequel to discover the rest of the story.
