Killer Soup: Manoj Bajpayee & Konkona Sen Sharma’s Netflix series receives killer reviews

Killer Soup introduces a genre-defying filmmaking style to Indian audiences, marking a departure from the conventional. The show’s eight-episode journey, spanning over seven hours, takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride through the quaint town of Mainjur in South India.

The story kicks off with Konkoa Sen’s portrayal of Prabhu’s wife, Swathi. Her dream of opening a restaurant clashes with the corrupt ambitions of her husband, played by Manoj Bajpayee. Now what this dream sets off is what makes Killer Soup a killer one.

After its release yesterday, i.e., January 11, 2024, viewers flocked to social media to pour in their reviews.

One netizen even wrote, “The Killer Soup looks incredibly quirky and trippy, a blend of black comedy and thriller offering a delicious experience that leaves us wanting for more. The casting is impeccable, and witnessing greats like Manoj Bajpayee & Konkana Sen Sharma is a treat to watch.”

In addition, the deliberate choice of Offenbach’s Barcarolle as the musical backdrop adds a Shakespearean touch to this Hindi-Tamil blend Netflix series. All in all, Killer Soup dares to be unique and different and completely succeeds in that quest.

Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen’s latest series is currently streaming on Netflix.
