He revealed the upcoming one is actually the second installment of the 3-part film franchise. He said (originally in Tamil), “Now taken is the second part of Captain Miller. After its success, the first part as a prequel and the third part as a sequel are likely to come.”
During the chat, the director also mentioned how Dhanush agreed to do Captain Miller. He said (originally in Tamil), “While writing the story, I felt it was a big-budget film. We need a big star for that. Thinking like that, it seems that Dhanush will fit right in. He approved the film before the release of ‘Rocky’. I think that trust is a big deal.” Arun Matheswaran further heaped praise on Dhanush and his impeccable acting skills.
Captain Miller is set against the backdrop of British rule in India. The film’s plot revolves around Captain Miller, a former British soldier who goes the extra mile to safeguard his village’s hidden treasure. In his journey, he has to protect his villagers and fight many enemies.
