After the major success of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor’s popularity surely reaches new heights. Despite the audience’s mixed reaction, his acting skills remain heavily praised. However, this is not the first time Ranbir has been appreciated for acting. Previously, his work in Sanju (2018), Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Rockstar (2011), and Barfi (2012) also received positive reviews.
Moving ahead with the gigantic success of Animal’s box office collection, Ranbir is now gearing up for his upcoming projects.
As of today, the list features Animal Park, Brahmastra Part Two: Dev, Brahmastra Part Three, and Ramayana.
Ranbir Kapoor – Ramayana
Release date:- 2024 (expected)
Ramayana is the upcoming project for the filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. The film has already generated buzz among the audience due to its rumored cast. The reported cast of Ramayana is likely to feature Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role of Shri Ram along with Sai Pallavi in the female lead, portraying the character of Sita Mata.
Further, some sources also stated that the Rocking Star Yash is highly likely to recreate the character of Ravana.
As per the sources, the movie is expected to be on the floor in 2024. So if the reports are true, then the epic tale might be marked as Ranbir Kapoor’s next film after Animal.
Animal Park
Release date:- Fourth quarter of 2025 at the earliest (tentative date)
Animal Park is the sequel to Ranbir’s recent Animal movie, which stands out incredibly in terms of its box office collection. The film reportedly collected over $107 million at the worldwide box office. The announcement of the sequel, Animal Park, was evident from the ending of the movie Animal, which clearly hinted at the sequel having even more formidable characters.
Further, the director of the film, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also confirmed that the next part of the film will be more darker than the first chapter. However, it is important to note that there is no official date for the release yet, but the tentative date is the fourth quarter of 2025.
After having a record-breaking collection in Animal, the Animal Park will surely be interesting to witness.
Brahmastra Part Two: Dev
Release date:- The movie is expected to be released by 2026.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva hit the theaters on September 9, 2022. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in centric roles. Besides this, the cast also featured big names, including Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, etc.
However, the movie received mixed responses from the audience. It was highly praised because of its VFX and graphics and, conversely, faced criticism due to its repetitive dialogues.
The first part of Brahmastra ended its theatrical run with the collection of around $51.8 million.
On April 4, 2023, Ayan Mukerji confirmed the film’s sequel with a post on his social media platform Instagram. The director put a lengthy note on his account confirming the release of Brahmastra Chapter 2 titled Brahmastra Part Two: Dev. Further, he also disclosed that the movie will hit theaters in 2026.
It will be interesting to witness what unfolds in chapter 2 of Brahmastra.
Brahmastra Part Three
Release date:- Anticipated to release in 2027
Not only chapter 2 of Brahmastra, the director also confirmed that the story will feature a trilogy with the release of Brahmastra Part Three. As Ranbir Kapoor played a central role in part 1, it’s highly likely that he will continue with this chapter of the trilogy as well.
Part three of the story will be on the floor in 2027. However, chapter 2 of the story will surely play a key role in the fate of its third sequel.
