Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is all set to make a blockbuster entry into the digital streaming world with his first OTT show. The show, to be aired on Disney Plus Hotstar, will feature none other than 12th Fail actor Vikrant Massey in the lead role.
In a recent statement to PTI, Hirani confirmed the collaboration, shedding light on the nature of his involvement in the project. “I’m doing an OTT show, which we actually start shooting this month. I’m a showrunner for that, I’m not directing it. It’s a show for Hotstar (Disney+ Hotstar) and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it,” he revealed.
The Dunki director expressed his enthusiasm for the project. He stated, “It’s something I’m very happy about with the script and the way it has panned out. On this show, I’m really involved and it’s in my own space.”

Rajkumar Hirani has been making headlines since his latest release Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and more. And apart from the excitement for his OTT debut, there’s a buzz around Munnabhai MBBS 3.
The director recently confirmed that he has multiple scripts for Munna Bhai, with titles like Munna Bhai Chale America, Munna Bhai BA LLB, and Munna Bhai Chal Basse. Additionally, Hirani emphasized the necessity of achieving the expected greatness for the beloved franchise.
He explained, “There are many scripts written but none of them reached that level of greatness. I know that any Munnabhai that I make will make a huge amount of money now. But I don’t want to make it for that reason.”
Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey is currently basking in success, fresh off the heels of his latest movie 12th Fail. Massey’s schedule boasts an exciting project lineup. Including Yaar Jigri with Sunny Singh and Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba with Taapsee Pannu — a sequel to their earlier Netflix collaboration.
