Prabhas’ latest blockbuster, Salaar, is making headlines as it completes its day 14 at the box office with a $45 million collection. Despite the downward trend, the action thriller, directed by Prashanth Neel, is asserting its dominance and solidifying Prabhas’ comeback in the film industry.
Salaar box office collection day 14, Prabhas’ movie sequel confirmed & more
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Salaar’s day 14 box-office earnings are estimated at $540 thousand. This addition brings the total domestic box-office collection to $45.4 million. While the film faces a declining trajectory, it remains on the brink of crossing the $48 million mark domestically, showcasing its enduring popularity despite an early release.
Moreover, the movie has already surpassed the $36 million milestone within its first week of release. Even though, now, the audience interest isn’t at the peak as it was earlier, Salaar still stands tall as Prabhas’ biggest hit since Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. All in all, ranking as the third-biggest Telugu-language movie of all time.
This news comes as a major resurgence for Prabhas as he faced three high-profile flops – Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush. Additionally, the film adds to director Prashanth Neel’s successful streak following his two KGF movies. Both these movies collectively grossed approximately $180 million worldwide.
So, to not keep fans waiting for long, Prabhas recently confirmed Salaar Part 2. He stated, “The story is already ready, and we are going to start very soon, aiming to deliver the film as soon as possible for the audiences. I am aware that many of my fans are eagerly waiting for its release. We will soon unveil the details of Salaar Part 2.”
Additionally, Prabhas will headline Kalki 2898 AD, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, Salaar Part 2, and a newly announced Maruthi directorial.
