Salaar 2 has been one of the most anticipated sequels since the release of Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Currently, the first installment is enjoying its theatrical run. As of now, the movie has reportedly earned around $78 million worldwide.
Besides this, many marked the movie as Prabhas’ ‘comeback’ after Adipurush, for which the actor faced harsh criticism. The producer of Salaar, Vijay Kiragandur, recently confirmed that the script of Salaar 2 is ready. He further added that the team is expected to begin the shoot as soon as possible.
Salaar Part 1 showcases the journey of Khansaar’s two friends who later turn into bitter rivals. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie features Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles along with Shruti Haasan.
After the success of KGF starring Yash, Salaar’s record-breaking collection marked another achievement for the production house.
Prabhas’ Salaar 2 will release in 2025, confirms producer
In his recent interview, Vijay Kiragandur, the producer of the film, confirmed that the script of Salaar 2 is ready. Vijay stated, “The script of Salaar 2 is ready and we will start the film any time.”
He added, “Prabhas wants to take it on floors as soon as possible and even Prashanth wants to do it. We have been speaking about Salaar 2 and our discussion in the last 2 to 3 days was to make the film in the next 15 months.”
Vijay also confirmed that Salaar 2 will be definitely hitting theaters in 2025. This statement is hugely positive for the audience who has been eagerly awaiting its sequel.
The title of the upcoming installment was revealed in the post-credit scene of the first film and it will be called Salaar Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam.
