Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade recently suffered a massive heart attack after he wrapped up shooting for Welcome To The Jungle. The actor has been discharged from the hospital and is currently recuperating at home. In a recent interview, he shared an update on his health and that upon his arrival at the hospital, he was declared clinically dead. According to reports, the actor had two main arteries blocked – one 100% and the other 99%. He went through an angioplasty for a stent placement.
On December 20, 2023, Deepti Talpade, his wife, shared a health update after the actor returned home following a five-day observation period.

In his recent interview, Shreyas Talpade said that he feels grateful to have survived the near-death experience. He said, “Clinically, I was dead. It was a massive cardiac arrest. A wake-up call would be an understatement.”
Shreyas Talpade recalled the events of the day he suffered the heart attack. He was shooting action sequences for the movie, after which he started feeling breathless and a slight pain in his left hand. He said “As soon as I got into the car, I felt I should head straight to the hospital, but thought I should go home first. My wife, Deepti, saw me in that state and within 10 minutes, we were on our way to the hospital.”
He further added, “My heart had stopped beating for those few minutes. Deepti couldn’t get out of the car from her side of the door as we were stuck in traffic, so she climbed over me and got to the other side to call for help. A few people came to our rescue and rushed me inside. The doctors did CPR, electrical shock, that’s how they revived me.”
He revealed that he had been working non-stop for the past 2.5 years and had traveled extensively for his films. Although he was feeling extremely fatigued from the last few months, he excused it for exhaustion. The actor underwent a check-up and was taking medication for his high cholesterol. Furthermore, he also mentioned that he has been taking precautions due to a family history of heart ailments.
Ahmed Khan’s Welcome To The Jungle will feature Shreyas Talpade alongside Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, and others. The comedy movie hit the theaters on December 20, 2024.
