Emraan Hashmi on Aashiqui 2 cast: ‘Mohit approached me first’
In an exclusive statement to Pinkvilla, Emraan Hashmi revealed his reason for rejecting the film. “Mohit approached me first for Aashiqui 2 and I was like this would work more with actors who are fairly new, who don’t have a roster of past movies or an image with the audience and there would be a sense of discovering a fresh pair,” he said.
Hashmi previously collaborated with Suri on six films, including Zeher, Kalyug, and Murder 2. He conveyed his perspective on the casting decision, stating, “I don’t ever have regrets with films I didn’t do. They were never meant for me to begin with.”
The actor was recently lauded for his performance in Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. He further shared insights into his camaraderie with Salman Khan. Although they may not be regular on-screen companions, Hashmi emphasized the warm and comfortable equation they share. He expressed that this makes their working experience enjoyable.
Emraan Hashmi is definitely one of the most loved actors in the country, especially for his unconventional roles. Furthermore, fans are excited about his upcoming venture, Sujeeth’s action-thriller titled OG, where he will be seen alongside Pawan Kalyan.
