Allu Arjun left the viewers in awe of his acting skills with his 2021 film, Pushpa. The movie came out to be a huge success in the post-pandemic era and minted millions across the globe. It was released in five languages in India – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. As the first film ended at a cliffhanger, viewers are eager to know where Pushpa Raj’s fate would take him in the most-awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, there have been rumors about its postponement.
Pushpa 2 shooting has been meeting with several roadblocks. After a few actors in the movie met with an accident last year, about a month ago, Allu Arjun was also left injured on the sets. As a result, the film’s shoot was postponed. The makers announced the film will hit the theaters on August 15, 2024. Because of the delay in its shoot, a rumor claimed that the makers are considering postponing the film’s Independence Day release.

As per a report by 123telugu.com, the rumors around Pushpa 2’s release date postponement are baseless. The report revealed that the makers of the movie have dismissed the rumors. This means that the film will arrive in theaters as per its schedule. Sukumar is helming the movie, while Mythri Movie Makers, in collaboration with Sukumar Writings, is producing it.
There is a massive buzz around the film as it is expected to break several box-office records. Pushpa: The Rise allegedly minted $45 million to $47 million at its worldwide box office. Because of this, the upcoming sequel is expected to perform even better. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil will reprise their respective roles in this much-anticipated sequel.
Rohit Shetty’s upcoming star-studded film Singham Again will be released opposite Pushpa 2. Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Jackie Shroff are set to lead the film. Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff will also play pivotal roles in this film. As a result, the Indian cinema will witness another massive box office battle.
