Prabhas‘ latest movie, Salaar, has dominated the box office worldwide. The epic action film has earned over USD 60 million in less than a week.
Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie stars Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju. Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films produced the movie. The initial story for the film was derived from Prashanth Neel’s Ugramm (2014), and Salaar serves as the first installment of a two-part series. It premiered in theatres on December 22, 2023.

Salaar earns over $60M worldwide in less than a week
As per recent reports, Salaar has managed to earn over USD 60 million within six days of its release. The film is now eyeing the USD 66 million mark at the global box office.
The Prabhas-starrer collected over USD 21 million on its opening day. The second day brought in USD 12 million, followed by USD 11 million on the third day, USD 9 million on the fourth day, USD 4 million on the fifth day, and USD 3 million on the sixth day. With this, the movie’s total worldwide box office collection reached USD 62 million.
At the domestic box office, Salaar has been collecting significantly. It is now expected to surpass the USD 36 million mark on Thursday. The film opened with USD 10 million. On day two, it accrued USD 6 million. Subsequently, Salaar garnered USD 7 million on day three, USD 5 million on day four, USD 2 million on day five, and USD 1 million on day six. With this, the movie collected around USD 35 million in India.
While the film is experiencing a gradual decline in collection during the weekdays, expectations are for it to gain momentum during the weekend.
