After the success of Animal, actress Tripti Dimri is all set to star alongside Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming film Aashiqui 3.
The upcoming movie will follow in the footsteps of the previous movies and will have a unique music score. Aashiqui (1990) and Aashiqui 2 (2013), along with their iconic soundtracks, were big hits among the audience. T-series Films and Vishesh Films will reportedly produce Aashiqui 3.
Bhushan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Kartik Aaryan announced the third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise last year. The actor took to Instagram to share the news. He captioned the post with, “Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum, Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum #Aashiqui3 This one is going to be Heart-wrenching !! My First with Basu Da.”
Tripti Dimri to romance Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3
As per reports, Aashiqui 3 has recently cast Tripti Dimri to play the female lead alongside Kartik Aaryan. A source revealed, “Triptii has been the talk of the town following the historic success of Animal and the makers feel that she would set the screen on fire with Kartik Aaryan. The conversations have been on for quite some time and the makers have now locked her as the female lead.”
The Anurag Basu directorial will begin shooting in the first quarter of 2024, and other cast members of the movie will be disclosed soon. The upcoming movie will be the second franchise film for Kartik Aaryan after Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
The source further added, “It’s a new space for Kartik too and he will be looking to explore the intense side of romance. He has been a graduate of rom-coms and will now be switching zones to another world of love stories. He is also very excited to embark on this journey.”
According to the report, both Kartik Aaryan and Tripti Dimri will participate in workshops and script reading sessions before the shooting commences. Aashiqui 3 will mark the first collaboration between the actors, as well as with director Anurag Basu.
