Superstar Rajinikanth is set to hit the theaters with a banger. The actor has a number of movies in his kitty and is aiming to entertain his beloved fans with his iconic action and emotions. One of his most-awaited films is Lal Salaam. The actor has adopted a different look for the film, and fans have been intrigued ever since they watched the trailer. While the makers have been aiming to release the film on the occasion of Pongal, a new report suggests that it might face a delay.
Rajinikanth was last seen in his blockbuster film Jailer. For over four decades, the actor has been as active in the industry as possible. With Jailer, he broke records, and fans are hoping the same for Lal Salaam. The makers have been dropping various clips of the film, including its first single, “Ther Thiruvizha.” However, its release date has not been finalized yet.
Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam to opt out of Pongal release?
Rajinikanth has collaborated with his daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, for Lal Salaam. The film was set to hit the theaters around Pongal and Sankranti next month. But, it seems that the makers are now out of the race as there are several other films that are aiming for Pongal release. This includes Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh’s Ayalaan and Dhanush’s Captain Miller. In the Telugu cinema, Ravi Teja’s Eagle and Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram are also releasing in the same week.
Amid this race, a report by Times Of India reveals that Lal Salaam makers are postponing its release date. The new release date is expected to be Republic Day, January 26, 2024. Pushing the movie will also help theater owners who might be in a dilemma because of the multiple movies’ box-office clash.
Moreover, earlier reports claimed that Lal Salaam’s audio launch event will take place on December 21. However, now the event has been allegedly scheduled for January.
Apart from Rajinikanth, Lal Salaam also stars Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, and others. Lyca Productions is producing the film, and AR Rahman has given its music.
