Vicky Kaushal‘s Sam Bahadur might have had a slow start, but the biographical war drama has finally hit the USD 12 million mark globally.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur released on December 1, 2023, alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Sana Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Zeeshan Ayyub. Ronnie Screwvala produces the film under the banner of RSVP Movies.
Its premise is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. The biopic sheds light on Sam Manekshaw’s life and career, which spanned over four decades and five wars. It also highlights his role in the war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Sam Bahadur’s collects $12 million worldwide
As per recent reports, Sam Bahadur has collected over USD 12 million worldwide. On day 17, the Vicky Kaushal-starrer saw a significant jump and collected USD 653 thousand. Over its second weekend, the film collected around USD 860 thousand with over 42.69% occupancy on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
It crossed the USD 11 million mark in two weeks due to positive reviews, strong performances, and its impact on viewers. As per the latest figures, Sam Bahadur has earned USD 9 million in India within 17 days.

While the film may have joined the club of USD 12 million global grossers, it’s still behind Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest family crime drama, Animal. So far, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has collected USD 100 million globally in the same duration.
