Check out netizen’s take on advance booking collection:
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki advance booking collection
Dunki, the much-anticipated film starring Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, has captured the audience’s attention with an iconic open-arm style. According to Sacnilk reports, Dunki has already sold 1,44,186 tickets for 6394 shows on its opening day. The projected first-day collection is $536 thousand in India, especially in the Hindi 2D format.
The international advance booking collection also witnessed Dunki’s triumph. The film crossed the $200 thousand mark in US advance bookings across 1,259 shows. However, it is trailing behind Shah Rukh Khan’s previous blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan. Additionally, Dunki aims to surpass the million-dollar milestone in North America, giving a formidable challenge to its competition.
Prabhas’ Salaar advance booking collection
Prabhas’ Salaar has not been far behind. The film has amassed an impressive $431 thousand through advance bookings, selling over 150,000 tickets. The Telugu-speaking region dominates Salaar’s success, with a staggering 84,000 tickets sold. Moreover, it is followed by a strong showing in Malayalam and Hindi-speaking areas.
Additionally, despite facing fierce competition, Salaar has already crossed North America’s coveted $1 million mark. The battle at the box office between Dunki and Salaar is not just a domestic duel but a clash with international implications.
As the clash intensifies, the film teams actively engage with exhibitors and distributors to ensure a fair distribution of screens. Vijay Kirgandur, the producer of Salaar, emphasizes the importance of a harmonious coexistence. Stating, “We hope to get 50-50 screens in the best scenario. In such a scenario, if an occupancy of 90-100% is achieved, it’ll be a good result for both films.”
