Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal has not only won the hearts of fans but has also become a global box office sensation. Animal’s box office collection day 14 has seen the film cross the $96 million mark globally, and that too, within its first two weeks in theaters.
However, on its 14th day, the film recorded its lowest single-day haul. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film recorded a daily collection of $0.96 million. But this has propelled the film’s total domestic box office collection to a whopping $52.4 million.
Animal started with a blockbuster opening and soon reached its pinnacle on the third day with a staggering single-day collection of $7.8 million.
As the weeks progressed, the film experienced a gradual decline in collection, falling below the $1.6 million mark. Notably, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, the film boasted 1264 shows in the Delhi-NCR region, with an occupancy rate of 17.25%. In addition to that, Mumbai saw 801 shows with a 15% occupancy.
On the global front, the T-Series producer reports a cumulative collection of $84.9 million within the first 13 days. With a promising weekend ahead and no major releases competing, Animal is poised for further success.
Bobby Deol’s brother Sunny Deol ‘did not like certain things’ in Animal
Abrar Haque (played by Bobby Deol), Animal’s one of the most popular characters, hasn’t been so popular within the Deol family. Bobby’s brother, Sunny Deol, recently shared his thoughts on the film.
In an interview with PTI, he said, “There are certain things that I did not like, which I don’t like in many films including my own films. But that’s as a person I have the right to like or not like but in totality it is a nice film. The music is very good and it goes hand in glove with the sequences. Bobby has always been Bobby, but now he is Lord Bobby.”
Animal is currently playing in theaters.
