Mangalavaaram hit the theatres on November 17, 2023. After almost a month, the movie is all set to arrive on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on December 22, 2023, per Hindustan Times. However, the platform has not made an official statement regarding the release date yet.

Ajay Bhupathi wrote and directed the latest Telugu psychological horror thriller. It marked the second project on which the director joined hands with actress Payal Rajput after RX 100. Nandita Swetha, Ajmal Ameer, Divya Pillai, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Shravan Reddy, Chaitanya Krishna, Sritej, and more played supporting characters in the movie.
Mangalavaaram follows the story of the village of Lakshmipuram, whose residents are petrified due to the deaths occurring every Tuesday. The villagers believe that the reason behind these killings is their failure to conduct Ammavari Jatara. As a result, a woman, who is believed to be possessed, is targeted for all the deaths. However, the woman soon takes her own life, adding fuel to the mystery. Amid the unsettling circumstances, a Police Inspector, played by Nandita Swetha, arrives. The growing suspicion around the village regarding the murders is what forms the crux of the movie.
Ajaneesh Loknath has given a captivating musical score to the movie. Swathi Reddy Gunupati and M Suresh Varma, under Mudhra Media Works, have produced the movie with Ajay Bhupathi’s A Creative Works.
