Tamannaah Bhatia has joined the cast of Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming horror film sequel Stree 2, which someone slates for release in 2024.
Amar Kaushik directed the 2018 film, Stree, which Dinesh Vijan and Raj & D.K produced. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, who will be reprising their roles for the sequel as well. The film is expected to release the sequel to the comedy horror on August 31, 2024, exactly 6 years after the first film.
As per recent reports, Tamannaah Bhatia is all set to join the highly-anticipated sequel. However, the film will not feature her in a full-fledged role, but rather in a peppy song.
Tamannaah Bhatia likely to star in Stree 2 song
The makers and cast of the film announced Stree 2 on July 11, 2023. Rajkummar Rao shared the exciting news on social media with the caption, “Ek baar phir chanderi mein faela Aatank! Stree 2 filming begins. Aa rahi hai vo – August 2024! “
Apart from the storyline of Stree, soundtracks like Milegi Milegi had also garnered immense. As per recent reports, Stree 2 will feature Tamannaah Bhatia in a dance number.
The report stated, “Tamannaah Bhatia will be featuring in a song in Stree 2. It’s an upbeat dance number that will be as catchy as Kamariya.The makers have already done the shoot for the same. With several hit songs in her kitty, the makers of Stree 2 felt that Tamannaah was the right fit for the song. The song will feature Rajkummar Rao, and it will mark the first time the duo shares screen space.”
However, the actress has not officially confirm the news. But it will surely be a treat to watch the actress flaunt her dance moves in the film.
