Aamir Khan has been making headlines for a while now as he was stuck in the Chennai floods after Cyclone Michaung. The actor was rescued on time along with over 30 people from Karapakkam. Actor Vishnu Vishal and his wife, badminton player Jwala Gutta, were also stuck in the floods along with the actor. As of now, the Laal Singh Chadha star is doing okay after being rescued from the dangerous situation.
Actor Ajith Kumar also met Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal to ensure that the actor was doing okay. As per a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Vishal, Ajith got to know about Aamir’s situation via a common friend.
Why was Aamir Khan in Chennai and who rescued him?
Aamir Khan has been residing in Chennai for a while now. As per a previous report by Indian Express, the actor moved to Chennai in October to be by his mother’s side. Aamir’s mother, Zeenat Hussain, has been seeking treatment in a private medical facility in the city as she suffered a heart attack last year.
Aamir Khan took a break from his professional career and booked a hotel near the medical facility. He is also trying to spend more time with his three kids.
Amid the floods, pictures of Aamir Khan in a boat went viral after Vishnu Vishal shared them on social media. The actors were rescued by the Tamil Nadu government and Fire and Rescue Department. Vishal wrote, “Thanks to the fire and rescue department for helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in karapakkam. Saw 3 boats functioning already. Great work by TN govt in such testing times.”
On the work front, Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, will be seen producing Lahore, 1947, starring Sunny Deol.
