Amitabh Bachchan’s popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, returned for its fifteenth season this year and recently crowned its youngest-ever crorepati, Mayank.
An adaptation of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? franchise, the game show started in 2000 with Amitabh Bachchan as the presenter. The first episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15 aired in August 2023, and it introduced a new segment ‘Super Sandook’. Also, the 50:50 lifeline was replaced with the Double Dip and the Triple Test was replaced with Fastest Finger First.

KBC 2023: What was Mayank’s final question?
The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati crowned its youngest-ever crorepati, as a 14-year-old boy, Mayank, from Haryana won $120 thousand. The episode was part of the special KBC Juniors Week.
Mayank hails from Mahendragarh, Haryana and is in class 8. He played an excellent game without using a single lifeline and won $3 thousand. He used his first lifeline for the $15 thousand question.
He went on to win that and later the mega $120 thousand question. The final question credited the European Cartographer with creating the map that named the newly discovered continent as America.
He received four options: A – Abraham Ortelius, B – Geradus Mercator, C- Giovanni Battista Agnese, and D – Martin Waldseemüller. Mayank answered the question successfully with Martin Waldseemüller. He then attempted to answer the $840 thousand question but quit the game. Along with winning the cash prize, he also got a Hyundai i20 as an award.
Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar later congratulated Mayank on X (formerly Twitter), labeling him a “genius.” He shared a video from the KBC episode along with clips of Mayank talking to his father.
