Naga Chaitanya is set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming film, tentatively titled, NC23. In a recent development that has set social media abuzz, the makers unveiled the official title of the film as Thandel. Accompanying this revelation is the release of the first-look poster. All in all, it gives a glimpse of Naga Chaitanya’s intense character.

Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel Movie First Look Poster Released
The recently released poster depicts Naga Chaitanya in a gripping scenario, battling elements on a rugged boat amidst what appears to be a tumultuous storm. Dressed in a simple brown vest and pants, the actor exudes a raw and authentic aura. Holding a row in his hand, Chaitanya’s portrayal hints at a character deeply connected to the coastal landscape.
The caption accompanying the poster further unravels the storyline. As a matter of fact, it reveals Chaitanya’s character as a leader within the fishermen’s community. It says, “A leader is born to ride against the tide and time for his people. @chay_akkineni in and as #Thandel. The Birthday Celebrations of Yuvasamrat begin early.”
Additionally, an intriguing layer to this cinematic unveiling is the cultural significance embedded in the title Thandel. In coastal Gujarati communities, Thandel is a revered title bestowed upon the captain of a commercial marine fishing boat. Furthermore, the movie is based on true events.
Also, this much-anticipated project, Thandel, is the third collaboration between Chaitanya and director Chandoo Mondeti. Previously, they collaborated in 2016’s Premam and 2018’s Savyasachi.
Adding to the excitement, actress Sai Pallavi will be sharing the screen with Chaitanya. After all, this marks their second collaboration after the heartwarming Love Story in 2021.
That’s not all, as Naga Chaitanya is set to make a mark in a different format. His next venture, the web series, titled Dhootha, is a supernatural horror series. It is releasing on Amazon Prime on December 1, 2023.
