I’m excited about the continued exploration of diverse narratives, from Noida to the International Emmys – India gets you there.”
Vir Das further added the importance of such award ceremonies. He expressed, “What I love about these award ceremonies is you’ve allowed a comedian to punch very much above his weight. If you think about it, I’m nominated with ‘Derry Girls’, which is a massive multimillion-dollar series, and these other gigantic fictional shows. And I’m just a guy on a stool.”
The International Emmy Awards also saw nominations for Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh. The pair were recognized for their exceptional performances in Delhi Crime Season 2 and Rocket Boys, respectively.
