This Diwali is looking brighter for Salman Khan as he gears up for the highly anticipated release of Tiger 3. However, the two Khans of the industry – Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan – are brewing something even bigger.
The latest installment in Aditya Chopra’s YRF Spy Universe, Tiger 3 stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi. Following the events of Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), and Pathaan (2023), a revenge-seeking terrorist frames Tiger and Zoya as traitors, sending them on a life-threatening crusade to clear their names. The studios slated the film for release on November 12, 2023.
After the success of Pathaan at the box office, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan may be gearing up for a blockbuster collaboration. As per reports, the two will begin filming for Tiger vs. Pathaan after the release of their respective films, Tiger 3 and Dunki.
What did Salman Khan say about Tiger vs. Pathaan shoot schedule?
Tiger 3 is the fifth film in the YRF Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), and Pathaan (2023). Since the films are a part of the same franchise, they are all interconnected. Salman Khan made a surprise cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, and as per rumors, Hrithik Roshan will make a cameo as Kabir in Tiger 3.
In a recent interview, when asked about the possible timeline of Tiger vs. Pathaan, Salman Khan teased about the film. He said, “Tiger is always ready – so whenever things are locked – I will be there.” Shah Rukh Khan is yet to comment on the upcoming collaboration. While Shah Rukh Khan is all set to release his third film of the year, Dunki, Salman Khan is yet to announce his next film after Tiger 3. When asked about his next project in the same interview, he said, “My fans will soon come to know.”
In the Tiger franchise, Salman Khan portrays the role of Avinash Singh Rathore, a.k.a. Tiger, who belongs to the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Katrina Kaif plays the role of Zoya Humaini Rathore, who is an ex-agent of Pakistan’s ISI.
