Leo burst onto the scene with a record-breaking opening day at the Indian box office, amassing an estimated USD 9.5 million. This remarkable achievement establishes Leo as the highest-grossing opening day for a Kollywood film. It even surpassed the previous record holder, 2.0. Going beyond its region, Leo has reportedly earned over USD 12 million worldwide.
This movie is inspired by David Cronenberg’s 2005 film A History of Violence, and is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. It features an ensemble star cast including Vijay, one of the highest-paid actors in India, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand, among others.
