Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan Shatters Box Office Collection: Crosses 600 Crore

One recent film that had no problem winning hearts at the box office is Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan. Directed by Atlee, the film is running in its fifth week in theatres and has collected over 600 crores in Indian Rupees at the box office.

Jawan is currently maintaining a decent popularity, all thanks to the SRK. Aside from King Khan, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, among other popular faces from Bollywood and South Indian cinema.

Jawan Breaks Records on Day 35 at the Box Office

The action-packed thriller has been co-written and directed by Atlee, who made his Bollywood debut with Jawan. The film is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment.

Jawan has a special appearance by Deepika Padukone, alongside Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra in supporting roles. The premise revolves around a man who is driven by a personal vendetta to rectify the wrongs in society, while keeping a promise he made years ago. He faces a monstrous outlaw who has caused extreme suffering to many.

The film hit theatres on September 7, 2023, and managed to collect over Rs 75 crore on the first day itself, setting a new record for the biggest-ever debut in Bollywood history. It has also managed to become the biggest film in Mumbai, collecting over Rs 130 crore in the city.

On its 34th day of the release, Jawan recorded an Indian net collection of Rs 1.02 crore and is expected to earn Rs 1.01 crore more in a day. The film has grossed over Rs 1,117 crore worldwide and Rs 376 crore internationally.

Moreover, Jawan’s total Indian has shattered the box office with a record of Rs 626.05 crore, already over Pathaan’s lifetime domestic collection of Rs 543 crore. Fans have likewise expressed excitement through several posts on X (formerly Twitter), celebrating the movie’s massive success.

Jawan was also released in dubbed versions of Tamil and Telugu languages, collecting a total of Rs 80 crore across all by day four in theatres. It is the first Indian film to release in IMAX Leonberg, the largest IMAX theatre in the world.
