Yash Raj Films’ upcoming film, War 2, may feature Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan sharing a screen for the first time, according to recent reports. A sequel of the 2019 blockbuster War, Ayan Mukerjee will direct the second instalment in the film franchise. Hrithik’s character, Kabir, might join forces with Salman’s Tiger and Shahrukh’s Pathaan, making War 2 one of the most anticipated films in the YRF Spy Universe.

Shooting for the upcoming Ayan Mukherjee directorial is set to kick off this month, with sources confirming that the movie’s muharat (auspicious start) has already taken place. While Hrithik Roshan is wrapping up his current project, Fighter, in Italy, he will soon embark on the War 2 journey.
Meanwhile, shooting scenes featuring South Indian actor NTR Jr is expected to commence shortly. The film will also see Kiara Advani playing a pivotal role, which would mark her entry into the high-octane YRF Spy Universe. According to sources, “Kiara has been locked in as the leading lady for this action-packed thriller.”
Directed by Siddharth Anand, War set the box office on fire by smashing opening day and weekend records for Hindi cinema. Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan (2023) only recently overtaken this record-breaking streak. Besides Hrithik, the 2019 film had Tiger Shroff in the limelight alongside Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, and Anupriya Goenka.
The YRF Spy Universe has previously delivered hits like Pathaan and the Tiger series. Now, the franchise promises more interconnected stories in the coming years. With Tiger 3 releasing soon and a hints of a female-led spy film featuring Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, the future looks bright for this action-packed franchise.
