The much-awaited OTT premiere of Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol is just around the corner. Directed by Anil Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, this action-packed blockbuster will be streaming on the associated OTT platform, ZEE5, this month.

The duo of Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel made their comeback through the theatrical release of Gadar 2 on August 11, 2023, and it did not disappoint. In the movie, Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) makes a daring journey back to Pakistan with the mission to rescue his imprisoned son, Charanjeet “Jeete” Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), before the outbreak of the Indo-Pakistani War in 1971. After a much successful theatrical reception, Gadar 2 is now set to release on ZEE5 on October 6, 2023.
The movie made headlines right from its opening date, raking in a staggering Rs 40.1 crore at the box office. As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, the film continued its triumphant march, collecting a whopping Rs 690.54 crore net at the box office. As such, the box office collection is a testament to the enduring popularity of the Gadar film franchise.
Gadar 2 is the sequel to the hit movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was released in 2001. Sunny Deol, who has graced the silver screen since 1983, delivered a career-defining performance in Gadar 2. The movie not only became a massive hit but also cemented its place as the biggest success of Deol’s illustrious career.
However, that’s not all, the makers of the film have dropped hints about a potential third instalment in the Gadar franchise. Although an official announcement on Gadar 3 is still awaited, the prospect of another epic saga in the making is undoubtedly thrilling.
