Another WolfCop: Horror comedy sequel will have world premiere at the 2017 Fantasia Film Festival
As far as one joke horror comedies go, Lowell Dean’s 2014 Canadian hipster horrorshow WolfCop was an okay distraction, with one helluva cool man-to-wolf transformation sequence serving as its centerpiece. The film was well reviewed and popular enough (though I suspect it was most popular because of its loopy Loup-Garou premise, not the movie itself) to warrant a sequel and that’s exactly what Another WolfCop is and, as you can see from the fancy The Dude Designs poster above, the joke about a bad cop who is a badder werewolf superhero by night still has some mileage.
Earlier this week, the 2017 Fantasia Film Festival revealed their official lineup and among their awesome titles is indeed Another WolfCop and judging by the official trailer below, this one is the same movie but with basically more of everything, including budget (and blood, which is cool with us).
Official synopsis: Alcoholic werewolf cop Lou Garou springs into action when an eccentric businessman with evil intentions seduces Woodhaven’s residents with a new brewery and hockey team in this outrageous horror-comedy sequel.
The sequel stars series regular Leo Fafard, Amy Matysio, Jonathan Cherry, Laura Abramsen, Yannick Bisson, Jessica Hinkson, and Serena Miller and will have its world premiere at Fantasia on July 29th.
