New cinema program Frontieres returns to the 2016 Fantasia International Film Festival.
After a highly successful Frontières Day in Cannes, which marked the introduction to the market’s new partnership with Cannes’ Marché du Film, the new cinema program Frontières returns to the Fantasia International Film Festival for its eighth edition, which will take place July 21-24 in Montreal.
Frontières connects North America with Europe in an environment specifically focused on genre film production and financing. Frontières marks its return to Fantasia with an expanded project line-up that includes a new partnership with Raven Banner Entertainment.
Following the announcement of a first wave of projects, Frontières is pleased to announce an additional 14 projects from a strong cross-section of experienced and emerging directors and producers from across North America and Europe, including the feature-length directorial debuts of Roxanne Benjamin (SOUTHBOUND) and producer Jenn Wexler (DARLING), as well as the next project from director-writer Gabriel Carrer (THE DEMOLISHER), and director George Mihalka (MY BLOODY VALENTINE).
For the first time, Frontières is pleased to co-present a slate of projects in development from Canadian production, sales and distribution house Raven Banner Entertainment. The showcase will feature project pitches and trailer premieres of upcoming titles.
