SHOCK editor and filmmaker Chris Alexander’s 2nd film, the “expressionist vampire western” QUEEN OF BLOOD was released two weeks ago via Severin Films’ sister label Intervision Pictures Corp on Blu-ray and DVD.
The film is a sequel/companion to Alexander’s first microbudget underground feature BLOOD FOR IRINA and follows a different incarnation of the vampire Irina (Shauna Henry), this time reborn in a surreal version of the old west and acting as a force of lethal nature, draining and destroying while setting her sights on a pregnant widow.
Also starring in the film as a “Harry Powell”-esque mad preacher is legendary Skinny Puppy frontman, performance artist and actor Nivek Ogre, who gives the somber film a dose of bloody, intense energy.
