In what is fast becoming a staple of Canadian film culture, the Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival rolls out this weekend at Toronto’s Carlton Cinemas. The fest is loaded for bear with a glut of exciting, esoteric and imaginative Canadian horror and dark fantasy filmmaking as well as seminars, parties and general awesomeness.
Last week, SHOCK interviewed legendary Canadian filmmaker Larry Kent about his new film SHE WHO MUST BURN, which is having its Toronto premiere at the fest.

SHE WHO MUST BURN, by provocative director and the godfather of English Canadian independent filmmaking, Larry Kent, follows a woman, who, when she refuses to leave her planned-parenthood clinic after it is shut down by the state, a family of fanatical evangelists vow to make her pay. This violent and poignant film debuted at the Fantasia Film Festival in August where it took home the grand prize of Best Canadian Feature.
