Mimi Rogers, who horror fans likely know from Tales From the Crypt, Ginger Snaps and The X-Files has joined the highly anticipated sequel series, Ash vs. Evil Dead.
In the series which reunites Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert in the universe of The Evil Dead, Rogers will play Suzy Maxwell, a woman who is reunited with her family and several uninvited guests after a freak accident. Rogers joins Campbell as cult movie icon Ash; Lucy Lawless as Ruby, a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks; Ray Santiago as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ashs loyal sidekick; Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past; and Jill Marie Jones as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner.
Sam Raimi is directing the pilot of Ash vs. Evil Dead, which will premiere on Starz later this year. The series is currently in production in New Zealand.
