Surely one of the most anticipated horror films of the year is Michael Dougherty’s long-awaited Trick ‘r Treat follow-up, Krampus. Expected this December, the film has finally begun to cast in earnest with Parks and Recreation‘s Adam Scott, Cheap Thrills and Anchorman‘s David Koechner and more leading.
A holidays-set horror-comedy, Krampus will be Dougherty’s vision of the Germanic pagan Christmas beast which punishes misbehaved children. In the film, the Krampus will be after Chef‘s Emjay Anthony and young Stefania Owen, reports The Wrap. Scott and Koechner will play parents of children who have gone missing. Both actors are alum of the contemporary Piranha series with Scott appearing in Aja’s remake and Koechner in the John Gulager-directed sequel. Scott also had an early role in Hellraiser: Bloodline,.
