Writer-producer Jeffrey Reddick, who created one of the liveliest contemporary horror franchises in Final Destination will make his feature directorial debut this year with The Final Reel.
THR reports Matt Nicholas will produce the film, which Reddick will write. The Final Reel concerns a filmmaker who can “manipulate reality through film and torments the residents of a small town by bringing their darkest fears to life.” Sounds in the vein of things like In the Mouth of Madness and Bigas Luna’s Anguish. Here’s hoping it’s terrific fun.
Reddick also wrote the supernatural high school revenge horror Tamara and directed Rainn Wilson in the 2014 short film, Good Samaritan.
