By virtue of being the second feature film from Michael Dougherty, the director of contemporary Halloween staple Trick r Treat, Krampus is already one of the most highly anticipated horror films of 2015. Add to that the fact that its a second holiday anthology, this time focusing on the devilish Germanic Christmas folk beast. Oh boy. In anticipation of the film, expected appropriately next December, Dougherty and Legendary Pictures have sent seasons greetings in the form of three Krampus-teasing Christmas cards.
Described as a twisted horror-comedy, Krampus is of course concerned with the holiday beast who accompanies Saint Nicholas and makes it his concern to punish the misbehaved.
