The developing Walking Dead spin-off series/companion will take us to another end of the long-running zombie apocalypse.
TV Line reports the series (previously reported as Cobalt, but not referred to as such here), set to star character actor Cliff Curtis, will be a Los Angeles-set chronicle of The Walking Dead universes epidemic. Curtis was recently named as the male lead, which character breakdowns would peg as Sean Cabrera: A Latino male in his early 40s, Sean is a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life.
The pilot, expected to shoot this January 2015, looks as if it will follow Sean, his son and a band of survivors whore miles away from those in the main series. TV Line mentions the word is that the spinoff will effectively be a prequel, though that seems strange considering The Walking Dead began in earnest mere weeks into that storys apocalypse. Perhaps far into the future would be more intriguing.
