When it comes to films dealing with possession, exorcisms and exorcists, The Exorcist is generally the go-to title simply because, well, it’s a masterful piece of cinema and, let’s be honest here, exorcism films that pulse with evil, question your faith and scare the hell out of you are few and far between.
With Deliver Us from Evil, Scott Derrickson’ latest film, making its DVD, Blu-ray and VOD debut on October 28th, I thought I would call on a few friends to participate in a Choice Cuts group discussion.

In Deliver Us From Evil, New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions that are terrorizing their city. Based upon the book, which details Sarchie’s bone-chilling real-life cases.
