Deadline reports today that Akiva Goldsman is circling the writing gig and may pen the sequel’s script.
The outlet generalizes the plot by simply saying that Samara is back with an ominous video tape. Good job. That’s to be presumed, but I’m curious to see how this new chapter will utilize contemporary technology which has evolved so quickly over the last decade.
David Loucka penned the first script for The Ring 3D. Goldsman would be coming to tackle another draft.
Goldman scripted Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Lost in Space, I Am Legend and he recently scripted the supernatural thriller Stephanie for Blumhouse productions.
