Syfy’s irony-driven telefilm franchise is set to continue today as AdWeek reports that plans are underway for a third Sharknado film to debut in 2015.
The news comes a full three months before the premiere date of Sharknado 2: The Second One, which airs on Syfy July 30th. In the first sequel, a freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites – and only Fin (Ian Ziering) and April (Tara Reid) can save the Big Apple.
Sharknado 2: The Second One also stars Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch and Mark McGrath.
