Valerie Sharpe (Jeri Ryan)/Dracula 2000 (2000): Though her part is small, Valerie was a standout vamp in Dracula 2000. In a film with several dark-haired beauties, her voluptuous frame, blonde hair and white gown cut quite the unforgettable image. To this day, I wish the film was about her.

Regine Dandridge (Julie Carmen)/Fright night 2 (1988): Regine had something different. She was amazingly seductive and very foreign. She had a sense of class about her that you didn’t get often in American films of the time. That hint of Euro sensibility is what set her apart, I think, and I feel that if there is one underrated '80s horror sequel that deserves some revisiting, it’s this one.

Lillie Langtry (Stacy Haiduk)/Kindred: The Embraced (1996): Kindred: The Embraced was a short-lived TV series based on White Wolf’s Roleplaying series. Lillie was a classy and artsy vampire club owner who played all sides as long as it benefited her. There was just something about her that kept you coming back.

Dracula’s Bride (Monica Bellucci)/Bram Stokers Dracula (1992): There were a few vampire beauties in this Dracula film so it took something special to stand out. Monica Bellucci has that something. I wish I knew what it was. In any case, she doesn’t really talk but she slides up between your legs while you’re in bed minding your own business and she eats babies. SOLD!

Michelle Morgan (Denice Duff)/Bloodstone: Subspecies 2 (1993): One of the unexpected perks to becoming a vampire is eternal beauty, even if you didn’t start out with it. Michelle started off played by Tom Welling doppelganger Laura Mae Tate. After being bitten and entombed at the end of the first film, she awakens as Denice Duff, sort of a reluctant vampire on par with Anne Rice’s Louis, though since this film came out in 1993, we weren’t sick of it yet.

Drusilla (Juliet Landau)/Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997-2003): Crazy is good as long as you can roll with it. What was great about Drusilla is that she was sexy and vicious but completely off her rocker. In a way this added to her ability to scare you and made you kinda into it at the same time. She was seductive but childlike, innocent and completely guilty. A contrast on all fronts and possibly the most complex vampire of them all.

Miriam (Anulka Dziubinska)/Vampyres (1974): Miriam was a lesbian victim of a hate crime who returned as a vampiric ghost with her lover. They hitchhike, bring men back to their estate, allow him to feast on them before returning the favor…literally! Fran is a ghostly white beauty that I always found ethereal. She never seemed to feel good or bad about what she was. That is what I find interesting.

Rayne (Kristanna Loken)/Bloodrayne (2005): Is the movie good? Not really. Is it scary? Not really. Is it sexy? Yes. Kristanna Loken is fantastic as Bloodrayne. She is smart, sexy, and driven by a bloodlust. She is what she needs to be in a movie that is not - 'nuff said!

Cool '60s style, an innocent look about her, and a thirst to drink blood from her friend’s neck in a gold chalice. See…style. She moved in slow motion and had the biggest fangs I’d ever seen! If you’ve never seen this film, consider yourself lacking!

All this before she became a vampire. It only got better after. She had a bad girl visage that was actually believable. If there was one vampire I wouldn’t mind being a slave for, it’s her.
