As we all know, when True Blood returns this summer with season 7, it will be saying goodbye. HBO confirmed last fall that the series would conclude with its seventh season. But does that mean this is truly the end of the property? Well, star Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton on the show, spoke to Examiner recently and was asked what he had planned for 2015 (the reporter's "clever" way of saying, "You have nothing else to do then since your show won't be back"). Here's what Moyer said:
What are you going to do in the summer of 2015? I'm not sure about the summer of 2015, but if things go the way I'm hoping there will be something to watch in the summer of 2016. We'll have an announcement about that… soonish.
Hmm, is Moyer hinting at a spin-off series. Or – possibly – a True Blood feature film? Or maybe is just premature in saying anything at all (these things happen). A movie is certainly not out of the question. HBO has seen shows like Sex & the City move to the big screen. Also, if True Blood doesn't tie up what it needs to in season 7, things could be further explored in a film.
