New Genre Label to Get Behind Day of the Dead Remake

The second redo of Romero’s ’80s zombie film (behind Steve Miner’s in-name-only remake from 2008) was announced back in July.

It is being spearheaded by Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell – the duo behind this year’s Texas Chainsaw 3D.

In July, Campbell said: “We want to keep it as close to the Romero version as possible to make sure that his fans are happy. These are not going to be zombies climbing walls and doing back flips like in World War Z.”

Vicarious is also finishing up work on Estranged co-produced by Insidious and Paranormal Activity’s Steven Schneider.  That film concerns a young woman who gets into an accident and is forced to return home to her family.  Because of the accident, she doesn’t remember why she left her family, however, their dark secrets ultimately emerge.
