20 Great Horror Movies You’ve Likely Never Seen: Part 2

This film is a total mind f**k. The less you know, prior to watching The Skin I Live In, the better. So, I will simply say that the film deals with the idea of body modification. However, I can say that the performances are fantastic, the concept is highly original, and it will stick with you for days.

Antonio Banderas surprised me with a performance that I didn’t think he was capable of. Director Pedro Almodóvar delivered one of the best films of 2011 with this beautiful and unusual film.

The Skin I Live In is one of the most thought provoking films I’ve seen in ages.

I would venture to say that this is one of the best, most inventive horror films of the past five years.

Josie Ho’s performance as Cheng Li-sheung is intense. Dream Home is absolutely horrifying. The zeal with which Cheng li-sheung will slice through anyone or anything standing between her and her waterfront condo is darkly satirical and unrelenting.

Dream Home is noteworthy in that it is the first horror film to address the economic recession. Also worth mentioning, Dream Home is part of a very small handful of horror films featuring a female killer.

And there you have it, folks!  Weigh in with your thoughts below, oh, and let’s give an honorable mention to two films that didn’t make the final cut:  Below, Babysitter Wanted.
