In an effort to separate itself from other zombie genre fare, The Walking Dead is making a point to avoid one event. Something we’ve seen countless times: The start of the zombie outbreak. The panic. The flesh-ripping. Where it all began. But why? Series creator Robert Kirkman is here to explain…
“I don’t find that to be interesting at all,” Kirkman told TVGuide.com. “In zombie fiction, you see the outbreak, you see the first days and the craziness in almost every other story told in this realm. I’m very proud of the fact that, for the most part, The Walking Dead has skipped over that part.”
What do you think? Would you like to see the “incident” that started the outbreak or, at the very least, the first few days of the outbreak?
