Amazon Studios has added the project to its development slate and will begin testing various big screen adaptations of the spine-tingling Southern gothic suspense tale of an ordinary man with a demon on his back.
The move to option a novel in circulation is a first for Amazon Studios, which up to this point has optioned only movie scripts and episodic series projects submitted to Amazon Studios.
Amazon is also working with Clive Barker on a film entitled Zombies vs. Gladiators; the company also has two other horror projects in development.
Amazon Studios recently hosted a trailer contest allowing fans the opportunity to create the official Seed book trailer and awarded $3,000 to the winning trailer Grinning Demons, as selected by the author Ania Ahlborn. You’ll find the trailer below.
Ahlborns second book, The Neighbors, comes out November 27th.
