Back to the Future director guides the way
Dark Horse Comic’s “Fort” may find life on the screen.
Producer Robert Zemeckis is developing an adaptation with screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos.
The “Fort” series put a fictional spin on New York writer Charles Fort’s life. The real CFort was born in the 1800s. He went on to become a known for his research into “anomalous phenomena.”
Of course, his interest in the supernatural paved the way for an interesting, but not entirely great, comic book in which he battled various threats from out of this world. This is where the film will take off, says THR, becoming a “period Ghostbusters film” of sorts.
Universal is partnering with Dark Horse in this endeavor to bring Charles Fort to life.
