Rutger Hauer, Joe Flanigan, James Marsters, Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White will appear in Metal Hurlant Chronicles.
The proposed television series is based on the popular French comic book anthology, spawned in the ’70s, that was translated into “Heavy Metal” here in the U.S.
A separate Heavy Metal feature film project is wading through development hell.
Metal Hurlant Chronicles will be directed by Guillaume Lubrano and each episode will run a half-hour in length. Two seasons have already been ordered up internationally. We’ll see if it makes the leap to the U.S.
