Showtime Goes Under the Dome

Stephen King’s novel heads to the small screen

This is perhaps one of the best ways to bring Stephen King’s tale to the small screen.

Deadline reports that Showtime is going to be the home for the adaptation of “Under the Dome,” King’s mammoth 2009 tome.

Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks Television came aboard to produce the book shortly after it hit stores. “Under the Dome” will be a series and not a one-shot film.

In the book, a small town finds itself contain in a mysterious, invisible dome. Tensions mount among the residents and food and air dwindles. The project is now out to writers.
